Class valentines

Class valentines stir up a special kind of nostalgia for me. More for the bounty of valentines I receieved than for those I made to give away. Now that I have my own little ones, it’s quite the opposite—I look forward to making valentines more than I look forward to a new episode of Fixer Upper (okay, maybe it’s the same).  Compared to my day job, this low-stakes creative challenge feels like a therapeutic release, made even more fun in collaboration with my daughter.


 There are plenty of top-notch store-bought options out there (no hate here), but it’s the quirky homemade ones that leave them with that “you did that for me?!” feeling. Here are a few simple DIY valentine ideas that will be fun to make with your little ones and feel extra special to receive:
